I called NBK so that they can send my new e-pin to a closer branch to home. She asked for the last digits of my atm card, I gave it to her, then she stated that she won’t be able to send it to a closer branch because I haven’t picked up my new atm card from my far away branch! What new atm card! She said it’s all over the news, and starting from last month all NBK atm cards are replaced with newer ones. She said: “you’ll have to pass by your branch anyways, it’s pointless sending it to another closer branch.” Plus, why can’t they send my new atm card to a closer branch too?

Cool! Now I HAVE TO GO to my far away branch … how come no one told me anything last week when I called their hotline?

update: another thing, I was told to pick my new atm card as soon as possible because the old one will be canceled after sometime.

I don’t blame my close ones anymore for anything bad going on my life. I don’t blame myself or my luck. Everything good and bad happens because it’s destined to be. Ilhamdillah.

I dyed my hair with henna last week. I had 2nd thought at first because I’ve never used it on my hair before, plus it smells. But I remember my granny put it on my palms when I was little. I loved it back then. Things are a bit different now when you grow older. My mom and mimi didn’t like the idea. I had my mind fixed.

My co-workers suggested I do it at the salon because it can get quite messy at home. I thank God I took their advice on this. It all went well. I liked the hair colour. I got back home and showered, but as soon as I shampooed my hair the water would not run clear. I shampooed about 4 times, still the same. I had to towel dry it in the end. It didn’t stop at this it would continue to drip henna every time I showered.

It’s been a week since I dyed it and still the water doesn’t come out clear, though it’s not as bad as the first day. My co-workers told me it was wrong to shampoo on the 1st day because it takes away the goodness of henna. I’m not sure I can do this. Anyways, this won’t stop me from dying my hair with henna again, at least I know what to expect next time. Plus it smells on the 1st and 2nd day only, so the smell is not as bad as I thought.

I was taken by surprise when I got to work and found on my table a plant in a vase with my first pet fish! It’s not from a secret admirer it’s from my co-worker. I’ve been wanting a plant for ages and my co-worker knew that. So she thought of surprising me with one. But the fish is another story. I don’t like pets, I’m stuck with one now! It’s called a fighter fish. It’s red, it has long fins and she’s one scared fish. She swims away from my finger if I touch the vase. Though it’s really cute, how can I take care for it during the weekends when I’m at home? Doesn’t it need filtered water? I’m worried it might die?

I haven’t been out this weekend, I really wanted to but I noticed my son had a fever which started Thursday night and continued till today, reaching its highest on Friday, with a reading of 39.7 degrees.  It was scary! Of course we took him to the Doctors and I was reluctant to start him on antibiotics but he was getting worse. His fever wouldn’t respond to any fever medication. I had to take him for an antibiotic shot because I couldn’t get him to take it orally! He would spit and gag! We had no other choice left. Yallah ilhamdillah his fever went down after he got his 1st antibiotic shot. He got 2 shots, 3 shots more and inshallah we’ll be over with it. I hate shots!

Ilhamdillah we’re done from the house and I’m so pleased with the results. I cried last week as I looked at how beautiful our house has turned out, better than what we could have ever imagined, mashallah. We worked so hard every day to get things done on time and we did it, yaay!
