At Nando’s

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

Ate at nando’s today opss I meant yesterday. First time I had nando’s I was in Dubai. Food here is way better than Dubai. It was so tasty I left no crumbs! I had lemon and herb chicken sandwich. It’s the same order I always have when I eat there. We ordered the meditteranean and portuguese salads. Let me point out something here both are the same only difference one had feta cheese on top while the other didn’t but the dressing was not bad at all. I had chicken and mushroom soup for starters, I have to say it was the best I’ve ever had, really yummy just right. Prices were quite reasonable too. One thing I disliked about the whole place was how stuffy it was.

That’s their take-out menu

Petra Ice-cream

Monday, July 31st, 2006

At long last Petra are a step ahead of KDD. I saw a leaflet a few weeks ago with Petra advertising their ice creams, it said something like ”buy one and get one free.” I thought to myself ‘it was about time and what took them so long?’

I remember back as a kid when I was in the UK, I’d buy an ice lolly from Forbuoys and I’d quickly gulp the whole thing just to see if I won anything. I’d be so happy to read “get one free lolly” on the wooden stick and if I saw “sorry, try again” I’d be so disappointed but I’d run again to the shop to buy more. I’ve always wondered why we didn’t have that in Kuwait. Now we do but it’s a bit too late for me.

Baking a Coconut Cake

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

I just put my cake in the oven to bake. I feel so exhausted but if this is going to help one little kid in Lebanon then I’ll be more than happy to stay awake. All I have to do is remember to take it with me to work tomorrow. I hope KRC would raise plenty of money for the Lebanese people, inshallah.

Hungry for Tumbleweed

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

I went back to Tumbleweed with Rena and Rami. I never thought I would go there again especially after my first unfortunate experience. Now that I did, I don’t think I gave them a fair review. I ordered a light veggie burrito this time but I wasn’t that hungry because I had my lunch at home. Rena and Rami had the same dish, they ordered beef crispy taco. We were served one portion of cheesesticks and some free nachos for starters.

When my food arrived, I saw a huge sandwich and I thought to myself that there was no way I can eat this all on my own. I was so surprised that I ate half of it. It was so good, very deliskious. It tasted more like onion rings and I love onion rings! I’m sure if I hadn’t eaten anything at home I would’ve finished the whole plate, yum yum. I think Rena and Rami enjoyed their meals too. But there was this thing that bothered me the most, I think I mentioned it before in my earlier post about the waiter being there, only this time while we were studying our menus the waiteress would remain standing there next to our table. I found that quite strange …

Other than that I’m so going there again.

Irresistible Crisps

Wednesday, July 5th, 2006

My co-worker’s back and she got me one of favourite crisps from Bahrain, Al-Nakheel hot cheese flavour. It’s actually a product of U.A.E but exported to Bahrain. Yummie. I ate the last pack of crisps two days ago ..

Razzles Razzles

Tuesday, June 13th, 2006

I thought I loved razzles but now I have found things I don’t like about it like the way the gum is as hard as rock and you can’t even blow bubbles, what’s the point then?
