But where’s mom and dad? She asked.

Don’t grieve their charcoaled faces,

Your tears flow down in endless traces

At those lifeless eyes looking back at nowhere but places.

Before you even said your goodbyes and picked up your cases,

Look up at the sky and smile at their gazes,

Heaven doors are opening for them, everything erases.

How? There are no power lines, no shelters to go to, no planes to fly out, no proper roads out of this chaos and if you do find a taxi willing to take the risk it would cost around 500-1500 dollars or even more. Chances are very slim for those poor little kids!

All I can say, Lebanon needs our support right now more than ever.

Reading the Paper

Monday, July 3rd, 2006

I don’t usually read the paper but I see the headlines online and very rarely I’d watch the news just to be updated. But today I couldn’t resist reading the paper; there was just so much on the front page. It made me wonder what’s going to happen to us in the next few days ..
