Got promoted

Monday, June 11th, 2007

I’m happy about it but at the same time I don’t think it’s right to celebrate when my brother’s ill and the girls at work are pushing me to do something big, can’t blame them they still don’t know anything. I’m still not sure I want to share with them anything just yet. So after some thinking I’ve decided I want to do a little breakfast at work but the girls don’t agree and will never do, they really want to go out instead. It’s hard to please everyone and esp. my co-workers but I’ve made up my mind about it.

Super Early

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

I woke up super early today that the road was so empty as I drove in every lane and I was even on the good side of the bus lol. I exercised my limbs when I got in the lift so freely, only the hidden camera would’ve seen me stretch out my arms and legs like that. I always try to avoid getting into a lift full of people because I won’t be able to get a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I can’t help but the feeling gets worse if there’s no mirror in the lift whatsoever, today I had the freedom of looking at my reflection as long as I wanted.

I’m not as happy as I sound early this morning because I’ve been let down by my life long co-workers, I like my co-workers but on numerous occasions I’ve gotten myself into situations and I’ve given them a chance, now I don’t see the point anymore. I guess everyone’s here for a specific purpose, mine could be done.

Bunch of Hypocrites

Our manager shows up and suddenly everyone’s early to work!

Great timings

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

Now that I’ve started cooking I don’t have to worry about finishing up on time I mean even if I start at 2:30pm (I leave at 1:45pm) there’s more than enough time for me to get everything done and ready by the time my hubby gets back from work (around 5pm). How can I not like our work timings?

Bun in the oven

bun-in-the-oevn.JPG

A co-worker of mine asked me ”so tell me, do you have a bun in the oven?” I remained quiet and moved my head in disagreement. I didn’t know whether I should tell her to mind her business and shut up or just laugh at it.

Interpretations

Saturday, February 17th, 2007

I was called to work yesterday to do some interpreting and I told them it wasn’t easy though I promised to try my best but I think I did a good job. I’m glad that was over I’m better off doing written translations.

It’s raining today

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

I didn’t know it was raining until I got out of the house, I quickly got in my car and waited for my car to warm up a little, then I drove away heading to work. I like it when it rains but I really hate the traffic that follows. I didn’t turn on the heating in the car because I wasn’t feeling cold. All I thought about were two things getting to work on time and why was the washing machine not spinning as it should be? I looked it up I found out this and that

Problem (I’m quoting point number 6 from allabouthome:

Machine spins slowly or not spinning
-Lid open
-Lid switch defective
-Defective spin tube
-Drive belt out of adjustment
-Defective wigwag
-Defective timer
-Broken wire at wigwag

I haven’t attempted to see what was wrong yesterday but I will after I come back from work. I hope it’s nothing but a coin in the pipe though from what it looks like it’s probably serious.

When I got to work the parking lot reminded me of a house that suffered a massive water leak and it smelled too. I had to walk out of the car and into the building. I felt like rolling up my jeans because it was soaking wet but I changed my mind as soon as I saw a co-worker mine. We talked a little and got up the lift together, our conversation went as follows:

Co-worker: I hate it when it’s rainy and cold.

Me: I really prefer winter over summer, besides it’s not so cold today.

Co-worker: True but winter sucks, I really can’t stand it. I can’t wait until it’s summer again.

Me (still trying to defend winter season): It won’t last a month or two until it’s over and the weather is so nice you can walk around without sweating like a pig.

Co-worker: In summer, places are fully airconditioned so I don’t see a problem.

Me (conversation is going to nowhere because I could have replied that heating systems are on too and it doesn’t snow here so it’s not that cold): If you say so but change is good.
