Rami called me yesterday at around 4pm telling me his dad was in hospital for an intestinal blockage, and even x-rays didn’t show why they were blocked. I felt so upset that I couldn’t eat anything until Rami came back by midnight.

Update: My father-in-law was diagnosed with kidney stones and kidney infection. That’s why there was an obstruction of the intestines.

Already I’m quoting Jack Bauer but this post is not about him or 24. It’s about the longest days I’ve ever felt in my life .. waiting in anticipation for the day I would see my brother come back all well and in good health. I’ll break into tears if I see him again because I miss him so much ..

Meemo’s into building house-of-cards and had me try it out too. I only managed to build one set of cards, then it all went down. I guess I don’t have enough patience.

There’s so much happy things going on at work but I can’t help feel a little bit depressed. I don’t feel like sharing my brother’s illness with any of my workmates just yet, I don’t see a reason why to worry everyone else.

I haven’t been focusing on anything else, I’ve been daydreaming day and night. If I sleep I’d wake up with a nightmare. Yesterday my brother gave us a call from Minnesota. I felt quite happy to hear his weak voice again.

I took a week off work because Hassan wasn’t feeling well. He had a fever since Wednesday, his temperature was rising to 38.5 degrees so I had to give him Adol and some suppositories but I took him to the Doctor on Friday. He was put on antibiotics for his throat infection. Yesterday I woke up with a fever too so I took an advil and tried my best to relax.

I do feel much better now though my head feels a little dizzy. I’ve been worried about meemo, she’s very ill as well, her temperature soared up to 39.5 degrees but I don’t know if the ear thermometer was giving me an accurate reading. I did try again on her armpits using a digital thermometer and I got 38.9 degrees. I quickly showered her and applied some cold compresses on her head. She went to the Doctor today and was put on antibiotics. 

In 10 minutes I’ve got to wake Hassan for his next dose of antibiotic. I know he’s going to hate me for that ..

Meemo and dad went to London on Monday to see a friend of his. So ever since they’ve left and I’ve felt so lost without them. I’m not sure I should say this but I will anyways, I really depend on them with so many things, so please come back now. I hate feeling like this!

P.s. They’re coming tomorrow around 5-6pm.

My brother just got bee stung while walking in the garden with Hassan. I’m not so sure how it got to his back but that’s what happened. My dad took him to the medical centre because he started to get an allergic reaction. It’s nothing serious, they prescribed Calamine lotion.
