Lost Interest

Monday, September 11th, 2006

I think I’ve lost interest in my blog. I’m uncertain why, but I’ve felt this way every since I left to Scotland. So I’ll leave everyone with a baby post because it’s the only thing that brings me some sort of accomplishment:

I’ve been taking pictures of Hassan on the 4th of each month since he was born and as soon as he turned one I just stopped. I’m still not sure if I should go on doing so or not.

The past month I’ve noticed that my baby wanted to play with toys, real toys and at last! I can’t wait until he starts watching cartoons …

A couple weeks ago, he was stuffing my things in secret hiding places like in between the bed, under the carpets and sofas too. I keep on losing my things now.

When I bathe Hassan he tries to reach out with his hands for the runny water but then he gets frustrated when he can’t. He can’t understand the concept of fluids and solids yet.

When I was in Aberdeen, I took him to Asda one day and he did a little scene. He wanted to crawl on the floor and I wanted to leave. He screamed and then blocked the way. I had to pick him up quickly and he started to kick, slap but not bite lol.

I met Ananyah!

Friday, September 1st, 2006

I’m still overwhelmed by sadness which clung to me ever since yesterday night when I said my goodbyes to Ananyah. She’s so much sweeter in person. We’ve finally met. Our meeting point was near Marks and Spencer and she quickly recognized us from Hassan lol. I didn’t think he’d be that obvious.

Anyways, we talked about so many things, mostly about our lives, on our way to Pizza Express and the place was so packed, I’m so glad we even found a table. Hassan wasn’t an angel and he was the only loud baby around. He kept dropping things on the floor for Ananyah to pick up, but she didn’t mind and suddenly he wanted to self-feed too. He made a bit of a mess!

Once we were done, we talked more as we walked Misho back home. It was fun I hope we can meet again before I leave on Sunday *sigh!*

Next on my list: Chikapappi and Reema.

MyDeathSpace.com

Friday, April 28th, 2006

I was checking out Digg.com and I found this article about MyDeathSpace.com.  I’ll quote this and it explains everything: MyDeathSpace.com memorializes deceased MySpace users and picks up where a regular obituary leaves off. Click the MySpace Deaths link at the top to view the latest MySpace Deaths!”

This is so so so weird.

Tagging Myself

Wednesday, April 26th, 2006

Going 20 years back:

I was four years old. I remember when I cried when I missed my first kindergarten’s open day.

I was somewhere in Aberdeen, Scotland. I remember going out with my brother and some friends of his in this adventure. We walked our way through a football stadium and we end up in a field. Then, we were chased by a dog followed by a farmer with a rifle. We ran for our lives and I climbed up a fence and my jeans got entangled but I quickly got out of it. I suffered terrible bruises.

I had so many friends when I was 14. I can’t keep track of them. I was even addicted to so many video games. I wasn’t doing very well in school and my grades were dropping below the average.

My happy years ever. I pulled my grades up and got accepted in Uni. There was this pattern I noticed over the years which helped me understand true friendship more: play mates, work mates, class mates, hang out mates, phone mates, and study mates.

I went to London for the very first time and I attended so many excellent plays. Started to dream of my future husband and I questioned my existence in life. I felt lonely. I graduated with honours, and got myself a job. I met my husband and my life just started to brighten up. I suddenly felt like a grownup.

Last Year
I started blogging out of boredom. I gave birth to my joy and we named him Hassan. I fell in love again.

This Year
There’s nothing so special about this year or at least not yet.

Yesterday
I checked out the sale at Souq Sharq. I ate at La Piazza with one of my college friends. Dropped her off and I went to Mohalab to buy my sister a gift certificate from SpaTime for her birthday. I got back home and hugged my baby for as long as I can. For dinner, we ordered food and watched Desperate Housewives. I had a terrible backache and my baby was getting quite fussy. So I had to pause everything and I put my baby to sleep and then I dozed off.

Today
Looking at my life, I haven’t done much with it. I’m not sure I will. I might as well watch more episodes tonight.

Tomorrow
I have no plans for tomorrow other than going to a weekly family gathering. I feel like going to the cinema afterwards.

Next Year
I’ll be a year older.

5 to 10 Years from now
I want to own a house. I’d love to be around the world.

I want to tag Jackie, Reema, Obsessive Compulsive and Ananyah. Enjoy!

My Blogging Habit

Sunday, March 12th, 2006

As soon as I get to work everyday and there’s nothing to do, at once I’d check most of the latest posts. Then, I’d think of my own topics to blog about and if I don’t have any, I’d think even harder. When that doesn’t work,  I’d call up to check on my baby. Sometimes, I really feel that something is missing if there’s nothing to post about.
