meningitis vaccinations

If you have one or two family members going to hajj this year (I have four: dad, two brothers and my older sister) then you’ve got to take your kids, age 4 yrs or under for this vaccine. Good luck!

update: I called up mustawsif mishref I was told that my son doesn’t need to get any vaccinations, weird because my friend heard it on the fm.

Hey, I just stumbled across you web page while searching meningitis vaccinations. Coincidentally I am also living in Kuwait. I work at a private school here in Kuwait, and a case of meningitis was found in our KG department this week. Since then, all KG students, faculty and cleaners have been vaccinated. I got my shot today. Are there any side effects? How long before the vaccine is effective? Any ideas?

    Marzouq, which yellow paper?

Angela, I’m not sure how long it takes until it takes effect but I know that the meningitis vaccine doesn’t protect you from all types of meningitis virus and bacteria. The incubation period of meningitis is 2-10 days. You need to look out for symptoms, such as vomiting, fever and stiff neck. if it’s first diagnosed you have a better chance of surviving the disease. I don’t believe there’s any side effects to the vaccine, you’re better off researching it online or ask your doctor about it. what area is your school located in?
