LG sucks sucks
We own an LG microwave and convection oven at home. I really love using it. A few months back I noticed that there was sth wrong with the convection only, everytime I set the temperature and timer it just stops emitting heat, otherwise when it’s on preheat mode it works fine. So husband took it to the workshop to get it fixed. The technician had no idea what was wrong with it. Husband explained that the convection oven is not heating when the timer is set. He kept thinking it’s the microwave!! Shako! Anyways, after a few days, hubby picks up the oven and I tried it at home only to know they did nothing to fix it! That was expected of them. I was pissed! Plus I don’t think it’s a major problem because everything else works fine. This time we called them up and got them to pick it up themselves. After a week time, still they can’t see anything wrong with it! Ay shay! I have to go there myself and demonstrate to their stupid technician the difference between a microwave and a convection oven? Why is he even working there if he doesn’t know the damn difference? WHY!!!
P.s. I’m never buying LG unless they do sth about their after sale services.

I bought an LG combo package at a home depot labor day sale. 2 of the four products are broken already (both conveiniently out of warranty). Microwave and Dishwasher both broke.
Dishwasher pump stopped working and hte microwave has a dead circuit board.
LG = Life’s Good…what a load of crap.

FYI for everyone out there buying LG products……DON’T BUY THEM!!!! my refidgerator is only 14 months old and since i didn’t buy the dealer’s cheese (extended warranty) the only thing they will do for me is send someone out to my house. so i’m headed to the boss’s office to ask for a day off to meet with the repair man……grrrrrrr.

LG fails. Even when the build products right, the products aren’t built to last. Especially newer things.
We bought an LG flatscreen and I spent hours trying to figure out how to fix a black box that was in the middle of the screen.
I’m not even going to go in on how bad their phones are…something new goes wrong every single day.

I am so pissed because LG said they would fix my phone under warranty (bought 5 months ago). I spent $12 to send it in and $60 for a rental phone while they either fixed it or replaced it with a refurbished phone. They told me they would have it for 5-7 days. But 5-7 days brought only a phone call saying it would cost almost $100 to fix it. What part of “under warranty” did they not understand. I told them I would never have sent it in if I knew this up front. They said they were sorry, but I replied that they would be sorry after I told all my friends what liars they are and how fragile their products were in the first place.

My fridge is rusting thru from what I feel was improper preping of the steel before painting. I found out there is no one in my service area to look at this. 2 1/2 years ago when I purchased the refrigerator we also purchased a microwave and dishwasher. One week ago we bought lg washer and dryer steam top of the line. The only major appliance not lg is our range. Since speaking to Lewis and his manager Carla who basicly said they will do nothing about this since it is out of warranty. I feel that no appliance should rust at 2 1/2 years with no damage causing this. You’ll be hearing from me more as I advertise your product. My friends, family and anyone that wants to listen on the net will be a more informed shopper.
Dissatisfied

I stumbled across your blog because I did a search for “LG sucks.” I bought an LG dishwasher and refrigerator about two years ago and have had nothing but trouble with both. The dishwasher broke almost immediately (bad pump) and was fixed under warranty but was out of commission for weeks while the dealer waited for the part. The refrigerator also failed within a couple of months (still under warranty). The repairman said it was because of some problem in the automatic defroster that “happens all the time.” That also required a new part that took weeks to get. If it happens all the time, why doesn’t the dealer have the part in stock?
This morning we discovered that the light at the top of the refrigerator compartment is apparently staying on all the time. It was so hot that the items on the top shelf were warm to the touch, and the housing that holds the light and the temperature-control unit had melted and warped out of shape. It’s attached to the top of the refrigerator by screws through little plastic tabs that had also melted, so now it’s just hanging down into the refrigerator and can’t be reattached.
I’ve owned four houses and countless kitchen appliances. I have never encountered anything as shoddy as these LG appliances. They make General Motors quality control look good!

LG = lectronic garbage.
My hands are shaking, I’m that pissed. Really long story short.
Plasma TV (50pb2dr). Every 6 months or so the HDD formats itself destroying all the recorded stuff and recording schedules. Also if you turn the TV off within 10 minutes of a scheduled recording starting up, the Tv turnes on for some reason only known to the gods.
I have an extended warranty with a THIRD party. (very important. other wise, you may as well kill yourself) They replaced the main board and sata cable and problem remained. I contacted LG for an explanation. They couldn’t see a problem with the TV turning on by itself. (unbelievable) I quote:
The technical support team do not believe by replacing parts it would rectify your issue as they do not see an issue, just allow the TV more time to start initialising and prep for recording that has been set.
10 minutes ago I got on to their web site and tried to access customer support. What an experience. Name, address, email address, message, submit. Only to be shunted to the top of the page with an accusation of incorrectly entered data which is not incorrect. Like email addresses do not match even though I copy - pasted them. I gave up and swear by all things Holly, to spread the word that LG SUCKS! HALLELUJAH.
