Day 2: aftermath
Going cold turkey might not be the best thing to do but I don’t think there was any other way. Early in the morning, I would say 4 am he wakes up and screams for his pacifier. I ignored and ignored. He started crying, kicking and punching rami in the chest, remember he still shares the bed with us, I just moved myself away a little so I won’t get kicked in the face. At some point he pulled my hair, I don’t remember what happened after that, I think I pushed him away. He was crying. I don’t know how long it took him to fall back to asleep again. I heard him say “naughty Barney!” Shakoo? That was the worst of it I guess. He didn’t wake up again until 8am, which is still so early for a kid who was up till 11:30pm, and didn’t have any day naps whatsoever. (Lala he did have a short nap, just remembered that). As soon as he was up, he was playing around. I had to get up too. He didn’t ask about it, not yet at least. Agdar agool mabrook ilheen? Can it get any worse?

bigpearls, he’s a blessing ilhamdillah but some kids are just more challenging than others lol

Hang tough, Pearls. He has to know that Mama can’t be bullied by a little tantrum. YOU are the Mama. It isn’t easy.
But he is watching you! Keep telling him he is a big boy, too big for the pacifier.

intlxpatr, I kept telling him he was a big boy in front of everyone today, I’m still hanging in there. Don’t know what awaits me tonight
