Aldoctor.org

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

This website is useful for people who want to know more about a drug or medication they’re using. What’s cool about it is that it lists most of the drugs used in Kuwait, as well as other Arab countries. Other than that it’s design sucks and I don’t understand why it’s called aldoctor! They could’ve come up with sth better than that!

starting all over

Monday, May 26th, 2008

He asked about his masasa today. I told him, “masasas are for little babies and you’re a big boy now.”

Last Friday he was exposed to chicken pox again. My sister in law had the swimming pool out. So in the morning I bought him two new swim outfits with their very matching hats from Mothercare only to know my son had swimming pool phobia, which is ironic because he doesn’t have bathtub phobia. I guess it’s been sometime since he last took a dip in the water. Just like how haircut phobia is back again. I was a little disappointed so instead I put him in sand play area. He had so fun in the mud and that made my day.

Elements Spa

Monday, May 26th, 2008

I checked out Elements Spa in Royale Hayat hospital. The hospital is very fancy. The spa looked neat. I won’t say I was that impressed about the gym though, for one thing it was very empty at the time I was there and working out rooms are not that big. They had one room used for both yoga and aerobics. I would say it fits no more than 5-6 persons including the instructor. The only thing that would make me join their spa are their prices. Three months costs only 165 kd including 2 yoga classes, 2 aerobic classes and 1 personal training session. Plus 49.5kd worth of spa treatments. I thought that was cool. The best thing I liked about the place was that they offered prenatal & postnatal yoga and spa treatments. I don’t know of any other gyms in Kuwait offering the same programs. I don’t know how professional they are. Has anyone tried them? I don’t have to be a member to join their yoga classes. It’s not that expensive, 8 sessions (60 min. each) costs about 35+ kd. My only fears is that if I join this gym I’ll be the only person working out there. I need to make up my mind soon, I’m dying to be fit.

Day 7 & 8: slept like a baby

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

I woke up for the morning prayer and now I can’t go back to sleep so I thought I’ll update my blog before I try again.

Yesterday he didn’t wake up for nursery so I thought I should leave him to catch up on his sleep. He didn’t ask for it. He didn’t wake up for it all night long (chorus: all night looong, all night, all night looong) and he slept like a baby. I’m relieved.

Day 6: almost there

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

I’m always frustrated with my son when he doesn’t sleep on time, even if he’s minutes past his bedtime. Today I tried my best not to care so much. The thing is the longer it takes him to fall asleep the more I feel tired. Good news, he hasn’t been asking about it at night just during the day yay, I’m proud of him. My concern for today is I’m still having a hell of a time getting him to fall asleep.

Day 5: still going strong

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Last night he woke up like 2-3 times. Kept asking for it. I didn’t sleep too well. We were so close to giving in. He’s getting so much aggressive now. Today he asked about his masasa too. I kept telling him that they’re all gone. I feel bad for him maybe he’s not ready for this. Let me see how he’ll do this week. I really hope he’ll get over this addiction soon.

2nd time to vote

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

At last I made up my mind. I was getting so confused. At some point I didn’t want to vote. My two brothers didn’t vote. My husband is not going to vote either. No one believes in this Majlis anymore, perhaps my hopes were a little too high because voting is still new to us ladies and I feel we can make a change. This year it didn’t take me too long to vote and I guess it was more organized than last year.
