Sharm El-Sheikh
I had a fantastic time in Sharm El-Sheikh. It felt good to actually be baby-free for 4 nights. I stayed at Jolly Ville Movenpick and I made sure to try everything there is to try before I left. I did some parasailing, horseriding, snorkeling, little tanning in the balcony, shopping in Khaleej Na’ama and many more fun stuff.
I attended Tamer Hosni’s supposedly free concert on our first day there, though we ended paying around 2 kd to get in but it rocked.
I saw a puppet dance show followed by Tito, a male belly dancer who danced better than any lady dancer there is. I watched a whirling dervish performing his twirling dance, they’re also called Rowanda. It was cool.
I ate lots and lots of grilled shrimps at Safsafa, the best seafood restaurant in Sharm for only 50 Egyptian pounds. I drank the best turkish coffee and even had my fortune told for free.
I asked a taxi driver why most taxi drivers never hit the breaks when they see people crossing the road he said most of them didn’t understand the pedestrian signs, I thought that was a lame excuse to run people over.
I found it extremely inconvenient to have walk pavements half a metre high from the ground, it made it so difficult for us to climb them up and down. I don’t understand why they were build so high up?
All in all, I had a hard time leaving Sharm and Sharm had a hard time parting us that our flight was delayed several hours by the dust storm in Kuwait. I made friends with everyone in the airport, people everywhere were so much friendly and easy going. So peaceful.
The following song will show everyone how much it left a great impact on me.

Marzouq, I didn’t expect it to be so much different than Cairo. Was it your 1st time there?
Mar, hahaha. I’m sure you’ll love it but I’ll warn you shopping in sharm is not that great because all you’ll find are many gift shops and dive shops.
I didn’t check out malls there except for the Mercato where Tamer’s concert was held and it wasn’t that good.
If you’re planning to buy gifts you should check out the “old souq” where you’ll find the same items but for cheaper price than Khaleej Naama.
Haggle with them or else they’ll rip you off, even on boat rides or anything else you can imagine.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. I have never been there before, but after reading this, I am thinking about it.
