Tissue brands
Tuesday, March 13th, 2007My allergy makes me sneeze a lot so that’s why I have a huge supply of tissues stacked with me all the time. I’m a tissue box eater. I’ve been convinced lately that the tiny tissue particles make my allergy worse, anyone noticed that? So I went ahead and tried different tissue brands.
Most tissues come in two-ply which is something I don’t like at all. At work we get the cheap sort and when I take a tissue out of the box all I get is a single half while the other half is stuck in the box, very frustrating.
At home we usually buy the co-op brand tissues and the problem with them is when you open a new box of tissues you’ll notice you can’t pull one piece of tissue without pulling out a whole bunch all together, but now this is fixed. I’ve never had the same problem with Kleenex.
Very cheap tissue brands really smell like a fermented chicken and sometimes rotten eggs. I found some brands that won’t really last a day on worse days with their impropriate tissue compositions which makes them rip apart easily.
There’s the very hard paper tissues that would leave your nose red and sore, and I don’t recommend anyone would use them. The perfumed kind is not recommended too because it irritates the nasal passages.
The worse brands I can say are the ones that don’t dry your hands when they’re wet instead they stick to them, I noticed that with toilet tissue roll.
There’s the expensive kind and it’s the best in the market, it’s so baby soft but I don’t really like very much either because it creates a lot of tiny particles.
I must say I haven’t tried using the traditional method of wiping the nose with a handkerchief because the idea is not appealing at all, so basically nothing suits my taste when it comes to the quality of tissues sold here in Kuwait.
