Baby news
When I move my eyebrows up and down my baby blinks back to me. It’s funny how he thinks his eyes are his brows lol. The other day when I took him to his pediatrician he started to blink back to the nurse. He was hitting on her. I couldn’t stop laughing.
Update on baby:
My baby’s been on two different antibiotics, first it was Augmentin for 10 days for a recurrent ear infection but when I saw that my baby was still inserting his fingers in his ears, pulling, rubbing and tugging at them, I had to take him to an ENT doctor. He said I should start him on Cefzil because the doctor suspected otitis media, or middle ear fluids. In total he’s been on four antibiotics since December. Could it be because he’s teething? I didn’t cry but that’s not all.
I’ve been told last week by a surgeon that he has fatty hernia of linea alba in simpler words umbilical hernia which is in the same area of the belly button or navel. No wonder he’s crying so much. The surgeon said he might need surgery to repair it and I’ll know for sure tomorrow.

Allah yesalmik, I’m worried sick right now. I need a 2nd opinion, maybe a third one to make sure that there’s nothing serious going on. I’ve been told by the doctor to use Otrivin nasal drops, it’s a must to relieve his plugged ears. I really hope it helps.

My daughter took Cefzil for an ear infection and it actually made her worse. A doctor told me that I might as well give her grape juice because it has about the same effect as Cefzil. The only thing that worked for my children was Augmentin and my daughter had to take a few rounds of it once. I hated to give her that much but she was really badly off.
Both of my children got really ill every time they cut a tooth. It was terrible - lots of ear infections, high fevers, sleepless nights.
Re the hernia, my brother had one when he was about 8 months or so and had to have surgery. It was near his navel. The surgery went well and left a little scar which I’m sure isn’t noticeable now that he’s 32.

I forgot to add, if you clean his ears with q-tips: stop. All you have to do is clean them gently with a warm wash cloth, preferably during or after his bath. You can also get those ear syringes to suck out the ear wax but I’ve never had to use them. I noticed that when I stopped using q-tips, the ear infection rate went way down.
Sorry for typing so much.
