Teeth Cleaning at Home

Saturday, September 16th, 2006

When my sister-in-law told us about the Oral Irrigator I couldn’t wait to buy one myself, in fact we bought one on the same day I heard about it but we tried it the next day as soon as the battery was charged.

Rami went first and I laughed so hard looking at him spitting and drooling all over the sink! I bet I looked as bad! I don’t care this is the perfect teeth cleaning device especially as I’ve always felt that my teeth were not clean enough even after I brushed them and flossed.

But this device leaves my teeth feeling slick and smooth as though I’ve just come back from the Dentist. I love it!

Lost Interest

Monday, September 11th, 2006

I think I’ve lost interest in my blog. I’m uncertain why, but I’ve felt this way every since I left to Scotland. So I’ll leave everyone with a baby post because it’s the only thing that brings me some sort of accomplishment:

I’ve been taking pictures of Hassan on the 4th of each month since he was born and as soon as he turned one I just stopped. I’m still not sure if I should go on doing so or not.

The past month I’ve noticed that my baby wanted to play with toys, real toys and at last! I can’t wait until he starts watching cartoons …

A couple weeks ago, he was stuffing my things in secret hiding places like in between the bed, under the carpets and sofas too. I keep on losing my things now.

When I bathe Hassan he tries to reach out with his hands for the runny water but then he gets frustrated when he can’t. He can’t understand the concept of fluids and solids yet.

When I was in Aberdeen, I took him to Asda one day and he did a little scene. He wanted to crawl on the floor and I wanted to leave. He screamed and then blocked the way. I had to pick him up quickly and he started to kick, slap but not bite lol.

Back to work

Saturday, September 9th, 2006

Today is my first day back to work after a one month vacation in Scotland from 10/8/06 to 9/9/06. Last week my co-worker told me that my manager wants us to come back to our other working place, and I’m so glad she did the honours of packing my stuff lol.

I spent the last few days in Aberdeen doing the VAT forms, visiting the old ruins of Dunnottar castle near Stonehaven and just relaxing at Duthie Park.

Dunnottar castle was amazing and it might have been the film location for Mel Gibson’s version of ’Hamlet.’ We had to walk up and down several flight of stairs to get to the castle in freezing weather plus later on it rained and I remember thinking there was no way I can do this with a baby in my arms. I couldn’t even use his stroller at all, but I managed with the help of Rami and Dad.

Now I have to seriously work!

Nooo, baby!

Friday, September 8th, 2006

Yesterday was such a long and tiring day for me, I had to take my friend for her Doctor’s appointment and I couldn’t leave my baby at home so I took him with me, I had no other choice. I had trouble with him because he won’t sit in his stroller for more than 15 minutes, the Doctor didn’t see us until 12 and you can imagine how busy I was running after him. He wanted to walk around and explore everywhere. I felt I was ready to explode! But when he slept I felt a little relaxed though the heat was so depressing. Later I went to the co-op and by then he was behaving a little.

Almost Done

Friday, September 8th, 2006

It took me almost 4 days to unpack 2 bags and a little one, including folding up the clothes and putting them back in the closet. I know this may sound bad but I don’t think I could’ve done it any faster. I got to one conclusion, I hate unpacking!

Home is sweet

Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

I’m in a jolly good mood today. I didn’t realize I was jetlagging until the evening and I thought it was 10pm when it was only 7pm. I didn’t mind because I was home.

Cheers.

I met Ananyah!

Friday, September 1st, 2006

I’m still overwhelmed by sadness which clung to me ever since yesterday night when I said my goodbyes to Ananyah. She’s so much sweeter in person. We’ve finally met. Our meeting point was near Marks and Spencer and she quickly recognized us from Hassan lol. I didn’t think he’d be that obvious.

Anyways, we talked about so many things, mostly about our lives, on our way to Pizza Express and the place was so packed, I’m so glad we even found a table. Hassan wasn’t an angel and he was the only loud baby around. He kept dropping things on the floor for Ananyah to pick up, but she didn’t mind and suddenly he wanted to self-feed too. He made a bit of a mess!

Once we were done, we talked more as we walked Misho back home. It was fun I hope we can meet again before I leave on Sunday *sigh!*

Next on my list: Chikapappi and Reema.
