Little old mouse

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

Last week was horror for us at work. Some girls thought they saw a mouse others were sure they did. I thought that some of the girls were making it up for a little action at the office but when one of my co-workers shouted: ‘look out, there’s one behind your seat,’ I jumped up involuntarily and gave out a loud shriek. I knew then that they were saying the truth. I’ve never seen a mouse before and I can’t bear the thought of it. Where did they come from?

So towards the end of the day we called up someone who in turn put several glue traps around the corners. The next day early in the morning, I was the first to spot the first little mouse glued on the trap but it was still alive and that’s when more started to show up. We had to call up those guys again to put some of the pink stuff or rat poison. That same day the glue traps caught another one. To make matters worse I even heard the poor little mouse scream! I’m still not over this and the picture says it all.

It’s my birthday

Monday, September 25th, 2006

I turned 25 I think. I got surprised when Rami woke me up with a gift in his hands. He got me a Nokia N73 phone and it’s on the charger right now. I was so busy in the kitchen today that I forgot my birthday, funny because it’s been in my mind all week. I just love this month.

So Ignorant

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

A lot of people who come to visit Kuwait tend to forget all the rules applied in this country. I know things have been so at ease but that doesn’t mean it’s okay to break them.

What triggered me to writing this post is an incident on the road, as usual I’m driving on the highway and this ignorant driver speeds out of the turn, he didn’t even bother to stop and look.

Car talk

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

While driving back home, this is how the usual conversation between me and Hassan’s babysitter would go like (translated):

Me: So was he fussy when I left?

Babysit: He was whining for a bit and stopped when you drove off.

Me: Oh good. Did he eat breakfast and lunch?

Babysit: He had a poor appetite today because of his cold.

Me: Poor baby. But did he poop?

Babysit: Yes.

Me: Soft?

Babysit: Yep.

Me: (Grinning at the silly questions I sometimes ask).

Graish at Work

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

Today we’re having a Graish feast at work and I’ve just finished baking a cake. My aunt offered me some homemade Kubbahs and our cook will take care of frying them for me. I’m also getting Caesar’s mini pizza, my favourite, and our driver will also take care of ordering them for me. I’m tired now but I won’t sleep until I shower.

I’m hungry already …

Hotmail Crisis

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

I don’t know why my Hotmail e-mail account has been deactivated, I haven’t checked it in a while but that wasn’t a problem before, I didn’t even exceed the limit!

I just activated the account and all my e-mails are deleted. For so many years I’ve been using this same account and never did this happen. I feel so pissed because I had important contacts.

Silence

Monday, September 18th, 2006

I’ve become a silent reader of blogs and I don’t feel like commenting like before. I hope it’s a phase I’m going to through because I don’t know anymore.
