Battle of Kerbala

Thursday, February 9th, 2006

It’s the tenth day of Muharram today. Back in time, on this same gloomy day, Imam AL-Hussein (AS), the grandson of our Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him), was brutally killed in a battle that took place in Kerbala after witnessing his beloved ones die one after the other to their tragic fate only because he said ‘no’ to tyrannyHe fought unwillingly but so courageously for his rights. Computer Virus

Wednesday, February 8th, 2006

I’m home now. I was unable to fix my computer at all because I know nothing about computers. So I need to find someone to format the whole thing. One day I’ll try doing that myself! All I did is I’ve made a copy of my work and saved everything on a cd disc. And I just left things to that.

I’ve been begging my husband to come have a look at it ever since the girls at work gave me a ring and told me about the virus, but we never got the chance.

Otherwise, I’m so stuck with a computer that’s so so slooow & a printer that doesn’t work! I hate HP printers, before they were so much better. So I might need to apply for another printer on Saturday.

Anyways, when I got home, I had a bit of lunch even though I wasn’t that hungry because I ate so much at work. Then I quickly put my baby to sleep because it was his nappy-time.

So I’m free to blog now as much as I want & I’m not sleepy. There’s just so much of catching up to do. I’m in a state I’d like to call work-lacking

Sweet surprise

Wednesday, February 8th, 2006

I arrived to work at 7:45am. I took the lift to the 3rd floor where my office is at. As soon as I got out of the lift I could smell coffee aromas. It was so refreshing to be back & I’m back to the gossip.

I felt a bit sleepy though because my baby slept at 11pm and woke up again around 6am, which is way too earlier than the usual. I really wanted to sleep until 7am. I got dressed up after I was done with his feeding and diapering. I hope this wouldn’t be my routine everyday.

Yesterday, I had so many things to do, but it had to wait until my baby went to sleep. This is his sleeping pattern everyday and sometimes I put him to sleep around 12:30 midnight.

Now I’m here, well, I have a virus on my computer that I’m working on right now. And anyways, like I expected the girls have a sweet welcome-back breakfast.

Both working & taking care of a baby made me a different person, the difference is that I’m so organized now.

I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed when I saw everyone. I cried a little and that’s because I miss everyone and my baby sooo sooo much.

Update: I added some pics using my mobile phone.

Yahoooo!

Tuesday, February 7th, 2006

The last few weeks all I seem to do is blog reading. It makes me want to meet so many bloggers, and because of this crazy addiction I haven’t been doing what I’m suppose to do. And putting off easy things makes it hard. So I’ve never been able to finish anything in one day.

But at least yesterday, I’ve ticked off almost all the items on my list.

Picky Picky Eater!

Tuesday, February 7th, 2006

I tried so hard to feed my baby veggies before fruits so that he won’t get used to sweet fruits and not want anything to do with veggies, though many agree that this is a myth. This makes me want to feed my baby fruits and nothing but fruits!!

What I did, I started feeding my son carrots for 5 days and I couldn’t get him to eat a teaspoon without gagging, crying or spitting it out. Good thing I didn’t notice any allergies. Then I thought I should introduce carrots mixed with potatoes and rice cereal. Still he rejected that even more. I might try feeding that again after a week or so, maybe later he’ll eat it.

This is what I just read: “In an exciting study of babies with a demonstrated dislike for peas (perhaps you can picture the expressive faces of the babies enrolled in the study), each was fed peas as the first bite of solid food for the day. If the baby made a disgusted face or spewed the peas, the peas were not continued that day, in favor of other foods the baby liked. The peas were not force-fed. By the end of only 10 days, 85% of the pea-haters had become pea-lovers! They literally giggled at the sight of peas! Take the time early on to give your bundle of joy a delight in peas, green beans, carrots, squash, and sweet potatoes.”

I’ll definitely love to try this with my baby. I wish I read this earlier …

Surprise Surprise

Tuesday, February 7th, 2006

I know that the girls at work are doing a surprise thing for me & I’m so sure now because they’ve called me so many times today to make sure I’d be going to work tomorrow.

I really have to leave home as early as possible, but I’ll spoil their surprise by doing so, and I’ve been told to come to work at anytime I like. I’ll just have to act surprised if I decided to be there early.

I’ve just taken sooooo much time off, that I’m a bit worried about going back to the World of Work again, and I’ve taken the choice to go back. So I hope it’s the right choice.

4 Kings

Four Kings is the new comedy TV show we are watching, and it’s so so funny. Starring: Josh Cooke as Ben, Seth Green as Barry, Shane McRae as Bobby, and Todd Grinnell as Jason.

In short, it’s all about four childhood friends and their current experiences as roommates. Out of all of them, I think Todd Grinnell is the funniest, while Seth Green is the silliest.
